The first practice uses a breath awareness technique and is perfect for time-out recuperation during a busy day. The second practice is a classic half-hour whole body relaxation known as yoga nidra. The third practice is a sitting meditation practice with healing sounds and visualizations of inner light. All three practices are suitable for both experienced and inexperienced meditators and for people of any age, religious or spiritual persuasion.
Dr Gillian Ross has an Honours Science Degree, a Doctorate in Behavioural Sciences and is a trained yoga teacher (IYTA). She has published books on spirituality and self transformation as well as many relaxation, meditation and yoga CDs. She has been a dedicated student of meditation practices, East and West, for over 30 years. Her beautiful 40-acre home in northern NSW has become a venue for meditational retreats and workshops.
