International star and “King of the Waltz” - ANDRÉ RIEU – has been forced to cancel his upcoming visit to Australia. Rieu was scheduled to arrive in Sydney May 9, to visit fans over the Mother’s Day weekend to promote his new album ‘Mother and Child’.
With a recent busy schedule including performing for the coronation of the new King of The Netherlands – Rieu has been forced to rest by his Doctor.
In a statement from his home in The Netherlands, Rieu said: “I am so very disappointed that I am unable to visit my wonderful fans in Sydney and Melbourne as promised. Australia is like my second home, and has a special place in my heart. I am resting on Doctors orders, and am looking forward to seeing you all very soon for my tour”.
ANDRÉ RIEU will bring his Johann Strauss Orchestra to Australia for “And The Waltz Goes On” national Concert Tour in October later this year. Tickets available now.
