Davey Lane has signed his first ever publishing deal with ABC Music Publishing.
This follows after over a decade of experience as a guitarist with You Am I, Lane going solo last year with his debut EP The Good Borne of Bad Tymes.
Since joining You Am I at 18, Lane recorded on six albums, won an ARIA Award, and performed on numerous world tours and shows with artists including The Rolling Stones, The Who and The Strokes. Lane’s former band The Pictures released two albums, Pieces of Eight, a triple j album of the week, and Kicking Indifference which was deemed “a revelation of ambition, master songwriting and superb musician ship” by the Daily Telegraph.
Lane is also a fierce collaborator and has co written with Jimmy Barnes, Jim Keays, Nic Cester and Phrase.
In February 2013 Lane released a free downloadable demo track You’re the Cops, I’m The Crime, showcasing a glimpse of his new sound with Musicfeeds describing it as “a cornucopia of influences, all interwoven into a fresh new vibe for Lane” and Beat Magazine and Drum Media Perth both selected the song as Single of the Week, while Fasterlouder, Tone Deaf, themusic.com.au and Mess + Noise championed it as it was selected for numerous mixtapes.
Lane is currently completing his debut solo album to be released independently through his own label Field Recordings later this year.

On mandolin, ukulele, accordion and guitar, the Exes are a powerhouse of charm and songwriting prowess. Fair warning: this foursome is the most badass female folk band around.
Lee Kernaghan releases a very special 25th Anniversary album.
