Australia’s favourite country rock bluegrass outfit, The Wilson Pickers are pleased to announce the triumphant return of fellow picker, Danny Widdicombe. Danny returns to the band after successful treatment for a second bout of leukemia.
They also welcome back with open arms, banjo player Ben Salter who has returned to the band after a short hiatus to work on his solo album.
Following the news of the returning band members, the long time festival favourites have now been added to the 2013 BLUESFEST line-up along with Ben Harper, Santana, Iggy and the Stooges and Wilco.
The good news just keeps on coming! The band will also be returning to the studio early next year to record their 3rd album.
The Wilson Pickers have previously been nominated for Best Blues & Roots Album ARIA Awards for their 2008 release Land of the Powerful Owl and their 2010 release Shake It Down.
